Rigid Global Buildings Donates Golf Tournament Proceeds to Homes for Our Troops
HOUSTON, TX–(Marketwired – May 13, 2013) – Rigid Global Buildings, an industry leading manufacturer of pre-engineered steel buildings, never limits excellence to its products. Rigid also places high value on excellent corporate citizenship. The company again underscored that commitment with proceeds from its annual winter golf tournament. Approximately 50 customers, vendors and employees played in the tournament, which for the second straight year benefited Homes for Our Troops. Held outside Houston at Gleannloch Farms Golf Club, Rigid’s tournament raised $2,400 for the veterans’ organization.
Homes for Our Troops provides residences for the brave young military men and women who suffer significant injuries while defending our freedom. The organization formed after 9/11. Rigid’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing Steve Olson explained, “We felt Homes for Our Troops was a great match. It connected two very important aspects of what Rigid proudly stands for — construction and giving back to the community. It was an excellent way to get our vendors and customers involved in helping make a difference in the lives of these courageous veterans.”
Veterans Administration grants provide a home allowance of $64,960 to some injured veterans. Home costs typically climb well beyond that sum. Because most homes must also be modified to accommodate the injured resident’s ability to move about, donors such as Rigid come through for the veterans with additional funds. In addition to pre-engineered steel buildings, Rigid Global Buildings manufactures structural steel, hi-rise buildings, and metal building components. To learn more about Rigid, phone 1-888-GO-RIGID (467-4443) or visit the website, www.RigidBuilding.com.

Rigid Global Buildings SKYPE advantage
Houston, TX. March 4, 2013 – Rigid Global Buildings, the industry leading manufacturer of pre-engineered steel buildings, is offering the ability to communicate with existing and potential customers through SKYPE. Rigid has dedicated a 60” conference room TV for SKYPE meetings.
Add SKYPE to the advantages that come with being a Rigid Global Buildings’ customer.
The online conferencing tool keeps Rigid in face-to-face contact with customers and prospective customers throughout the world. “At the touch of a button, we can have a face-to-face conference call or meeting without all the high costs of travel,” said Rigid Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing Steve Olson. “It’s another example of how we constantly strive to offer customers the excellent service they deserve.”
Rigid is an industry leader in metal buildings, steel buildings, pre-engineered buildings, metal wall panels and metal roof panels. The Houston-based company offers two options in renewable energy roofing and has also improved its metal building products with SOLAR (crystalline and PV laminate).
Like Rigid, SKYPE carries a global reputation for success. SKYPE supports conference calls for as many as 25 participants. The conferencing tool is available in the U.S. and 25 other countries. For the customer located far from Rigid headquarters, SKYPE is ideal for keeping in touch. With online conferencing, a customer’s key people can maintain constant contact with Rigid, both during manufacture and erection. Given direct access to the customer, Rigid engineers, estimators, designers and manufacturing team leaders can resolve a possible issue before it becomes an issue.
Innovations such as relying on SKYPE reveals how adroitly Rigid has understood doing business internationally, then succeeded at it. Outside the U.S., the company maintains facilities in Afghanistan, China, Guatemala, Nigeria and Qatar. Almost anywhere in the world, a customer can call on Rigid to produce nearly any kind of structure, including agricultural, aviation, religious, commercial and industrial.
Now (IAS) AC472 accredited, Rigid’s newer benefits include advance color selection. It enables a customer — before ordering — to preview roof, panel and trim colors as they would look on a completed project.
Rigid is also an Energy Star Partner. The company’s extensive product line offers customers 15 Energy Star-approved roof colors. For more information on Rigid Global Buildings contact Rigid at 1-888-GO-RIGID (467-4443) or visit their website at www.RigidBuilding.com

Houston, TX. August 13, 2012 – Rigid Global Buildings, industry leading manufacturer in pre-engineered steel buildings, has achieved International Accreditation Services (IAS) AC472 accreditation for metal buildings.
Over the course of the two-day audit, Rigid excelled in all areas of the certification process. The IAS accreditation program is based on the requirements of Chapter 17 of the International Building Code® (IBC) for the inspection of the metal building fabrication process covering not only manufacturing but also the quality management system including personnel, product traceability, process control and administrative and technical procedures.
The AC472 certification process has three parts, A, B and C. A focuses on fabrication of structural weldments and cold formed products requiring welding; B covers the fabrication of cold-formed products not requiring welding, and C focuses on the design of metal buildings. Throughout these three parts, Rigid Global Buildings met and exceeded the necessary requirements for this quality assurance program for the metal building industry.
Rigid’s Chairman of the Board Alex Ghodsi said “I was so proud of the Rigid Team for not only their continued support and superior workmanship but also for their dedication to the accreditation process. Rigid has always been a quality manufacturer of pre-engineered metal buildings, this process simply proves it not only for our products but also our employees.”
In addition to achieving IAS AC472 Accreditation, Rigid is also an approved fabricator for the City of Los Angeles, an approved manufacturer/fabricator for Miami-Dade and the City of Houston. Houston, TX. April 19, 2012 – Rigid Global Buildings, industry leading manufacturer in pre-engineered steel buildings, is now offering SOLAR; PV Laminate and Crystalline Modules.
Rigid Global Buildings has been a landmark in the metal building industry offering metal buildings for all industry types in virtually any shape and size for years. As sustainable building become standard in the steel building industry – Solar is the perfect combination of renewable energy and metal buildings.
As the technology for Solar has continued to expand, renewable energy is no longer a thing of the past but now a reality. The solar modules today are designed to last up to 30 years and more – the building it is on – and more importantly – the roof it is on should last as long if not longer.
Through Rigid Global Solar – Rigid is bringing solar to the construction industry. With the solar programs and information available through Rigid Global Solar you have everything you need. The solar system comes with everything necessary to install and integrate, including electrical drawings. Once connected, your system will start generating clean renewable energy immediately.
Rigid offers two solar modules – crystalline modules and PV laminate modules. Crystalline modules are typically less expensive and generate more energy. They are mounted directly to a standing seam metal roof with specially designed clips to maintain a penetration free roof system, or if you have a conventional roof they can be applied utilizing a racking system. If aesthetics are a concern, PV laminate modules are applied directly to a standing seam metal roof panel using a peel and stick application – also providing a penetration free roof system. The PV laminate solar modules are flush with the metal roof providing a seamless effect on the roof system.
The square footage and direction of the angle of the roof determine the size of the solar application for each project. If the project is in the early stages, designers can ensure the best location for optimum effectiveness of a solar system by placing the angle of the roof at the prime location to receive the most amount of sunlight available. Rigid Global Solar offers systems ranging from 0.7 kWp to systems over 250+ kWp. Give us a call today to see how solar can apply to your next project or visit our website for our Solar Brochure.
