Rigid Responds to Hurricane Harvey

Hurricane Harvey was extremely devastating for the entire gulf coat of Texas and nearby states.  Rigid Global Buildings was not excluded from Harvey’s path.  Although our steel building manufacturing facility and structural steel manufacturing facility suffered no immediate damage our employees, customers and fellow metal building companies were not as fortunate.  Our hearts and prayers go out to those who are still dealing with the aftermath from this storm.

We chose to keep our Houston facility closed through Wednesday for the safety of not only our employees but for the first responders.  Senior management felt it was not safe for team members to be on the roads – and leave the roads open for emergency vehicles and first responders.

Because of the high flood levels and the amount of time it is going to take for Houston and the surrounding cities to clean up and re –build we have decided to push back delivery dates for our local area.  We understand that jobsites that were once ready to take delivery of their metal building are no longer in that condition.  In addition, we will be waiving any storage fees for those in the area that cannot take delivery of their building.

Over the next few weeks and months as Houston begins to re-build Rigid wants to be there to help.  We will work with local charities and organizations to assist including hosting another blood drive and collecting items to donate to local shelters.

We are all in this together and we are here to help.
