Rigid Global Buildings had an amazing holiday whirlwind. Rigid’s holiday festivities kicked off twice with our Denver office celebrating their Christmas party early with a themed bowling party. They were divided into four teams (Santa’s Team, Elf’s Team, Rudolph’s Team and the Gingerbread Team) – Santa’s team won. Alex Ghodsi and Bowen Lo traveled to Denver to help them ring in the holidays and present the following awards:
- William Monds and Scott McRae for top sales and Chairman’s Awards
- Clint Koppenhafer and Ken Olsen for President’s Sales Awards
- Larry Black for 10 years of service
Rigid’s shop employees celebrated their Christmas Party the following Friday with a friendly mechanical bull riding competition, a dance contest and some amazing food catered by Mi Chef. In addition to the fun activities they also received their years of service awards.
Next up was the annual sales meeting in Houston, TX. This year’s meeting took place in our new Conference / Training room at the new Structural Shop. The entire Houston based sales team was in attendance as they reviewed the year, discussed pricing, upcoming changes in codes and standards and wrapped up with the sales awards:
- Top Salesperson for 2016 honors went to Bob Kontor with sales exceeding $5 Million.
- Chairman’s awards were handed out to Aaron Westover, Bob Kontor, Bruce Tankersley, Chris Greer and Joe Veilluex.
- BJ Jones was awarded the President’s award.
Chairman’s awards are presented to anyone with sales over $3 Million and the President’s award is presented to anyone with sales over $2 Million.
After the sales meeting the sales team and management team headed over to iFly for a unique fun teambuilding experience. It was amazing to see the camaraderie as everyone jumped into a tube to be lifted off the ground by strong winds! The top fly award went to Geoffrey Saunders for his amazing “flying skills”.
Friday kicked off with our annual winter charity golf tournament at Tour 18. Everyone braved the cold and misty weather and came out and had a great time. The weather warmed up by lunch time and it even stopped raining. After the BBQ lunch we presented the awards for first, second and third place. We had over 50 players and raised over $7,000 for our charity The Ronald McDonald House.
Our holiday festivities ended Friday evening with the annual Rigid Christmas Party at Shirley Acres. The elegant evening started out with an amazing buffet and was then proceeded with the company awards. We had 17 employees get their 5 years of service awards, 18 receive their 10 year awards, 11 receive their 15 years of service awards, 8 receive their 20 year award. This year we had a very special 25 year award that was presented to Alex Ghodsi. The amazing evening concluded with some amazing moves on the dance floor.
We would like to thank all of our customers, vendors and friends who helped make 2016 an amazing year and would like to wish everyone a happy and healthy 2017!
