June has been a very busy month for us! In the past two weeks we have had the privilege to attend three networking events. The first event was in San Marcos, Texas hosted by The Blue Book. Travis Stinson and Joe Veilleux who cover the Austin and San Antonio markets both went to this all day networking event. Rigid always enjoys attending the general contractor showcases hosted every year by the Blue Book. This is an amazing opportunity to see and talk with the area's general contractors. "We enjoy the opportunity to be able to connect face to face with our customers and also to see some potential new customers" said Joe. Geoffrey Saunders attended the same general contractor showcase in Atlanta, Georgia the week before. Geoffrey had the same overwhelming experience that Joe and Travis had. He said it was great to be able to see so many people at one location. Metal Buildings are fairly easy to sell - however the relationships that are made at the shows are much more important to keep and maintain.
In addition to the Blue Book Showcases - Rigid also exhibited at the Downstream Engineering, Construction & Maintenance show in New Orleans, LA. In a joint booth with BakerRisk, Rigid was promoting Blast Resistant Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings. Aaron Westover, VP of the Energy Division, said this was a fantastic show to promote the benefits blast resistant metal buildings can bring to the petrochemical industry. Because this is a fairly new concept the attention they received at the show was amazing!
Rigid is looking forward to a few more networking events and trade shows in the second half of the year.
