To receive LEED certification, building projects satisfy prerequisites and earn points to achieve different levels of certification.

  1. Certified (40-49 points)
  2. Silver (50-59 points)
  3. Gold (60-79 points)
  4. Platinum (80+ points)

SS Credit 7.2 Heat Island Effect (Roof) - 1 POINT - You can reduce the heat island (the thermal gradient difference between  developed and undeveloped areas) by selecting a metal roof with an SRI value of 78 or higher (Low-Slope) or 29 or higher (Steep-Slope).

MR Credit 4.1 Recycled Content - 1 POINT - Framing, Sheeting and Trim material from Rigid assist in qualifying for the Recycled Content Point.

MR Credit 5.1 Regional Materials - 1 POINT - If your jobsite is within 500 miles of the Houston manufacturing facility, you will qualify for the regional material credit.
